Luciano's life was dotted with many pleasant moments, many occasions that moved
him. Among these there were those linked to his personal growth and those dictated by family
events such as births, weddings and other situations. Some of these moments he always remembered
with pride and full gratification.
“Like that Christmas of 1990. – Mariuccia recalls with emotion –
Our daughter Barbara was working in England and could not return for the end-of-year
holidays. Then Luciano decided that we would go to her to spend the holidays which for
him were always special. Happiness could be seen in his eyes right from the travel preparations,
then the departure, the stay in Oxford: one emotion after another”.
Then, there was the New Year's Concert in Vienna. An indescribable emotion for
someone like him so passionate about classical music. The atmosphere in that golden hall of the
Musikverein in Vienna immediately seemed exciting to him when the Vienna Philharmonic struck the
first aria and, one after another, the subsequent ones, with a particular preference for the
fascinating melodies of the various Strausses.
“Finally, – recalls Mariuccia – there was the surprise party in 2006,
for his sixtieth birthday. A circumstance in which the emotion was truly palpable. When he
understood that the party was for him, he remained literally amazed and with tears in his
eyes. The event had been prepared in detail. We had made sure that he was not in the
company, we had involved a catering and a small musical group. For the wine there was no need to
look elsewhere. Then there were many friends, who arrived one by one, who had left their cars in
a secluded area so that upon his return he wouldn't notice. As soon as he set foot in the
winery, the lights came on and the party started with a bang, to his immense amazement, which
lasted for days and days”.
As a young man, Luciano was very reserved, perhaps even a little shy, and this made him appear aloof. It was an attitude that was disorienting and gave the impression that he was a difficult person to involve.
The vine and the vineyard had a privileged place in Luciano's heart. And this since he was young.

Let's come to the topic of "sport". It cannot be said that Luciano had any particular preferences. He was not a fan of any team, but – if it happened to him – he would gladly watch a football match on television or even better the stages of the Giro d'Italia.
At home, Luciano was “allergic and intolerant” to household chores. He loved hospitality, the warmth of the table, he liked to celebrate anniversaries, to be with loved ones, all together.
