13.1 The relationship with grandfather Luciano
"With my grandfather, a very beautiful relationship was created, even if at certain periods the strength of his character took over: he was determined and decisive even towards us grandchildren. This is demonstrated by his decision to replace the reference to the Cannubi Boschis mention on the label with the ALESTE brand, generated by the union of the initials of our two names. And he did it without getting anything in return and without even demanding that each of us decide to involve ourselves in his company. This does not mean that he did not desire it. Of course he would have wanted it, but he left us free to decide."
And how do you see the idea of involving yourself in the company?
"To tell the truth, I am taking my first steps in the company. I know that the place is there and I could certainly also perform an adequate role. But, I still have other priorities: first of all concluding my course of study and in the meantime starting to operate, inserting myself little by little into the company dynamics."
Can you tell me more about your grandfather?
"Very gladly. One of his great virtues was loyalty to the word given. With him there was no need to make many writings. If he said something, that was it. And then his was a strong, decisive character. You had to know how to take him and maybe even mediate. And, then, I liked how he knew how to involve people. He understood the character of those in front of him and adapted his behaviour to the expectations of those who confronted him."
